Is there a dress code?

Yes, the dress code is Black Tie.

For women, this is a mid or full-length evening dress and for men, this is a black or dark coloured classic tuxedo with a bow tie.

Where is the wedding taking place?

Our wedding ceremony will be held at Christ Church the Consoler. The church is located on the right-hand side, a short distance after entering the main entrance to the Newby Hall Estate. Our drinks reception will be held at Newby Hall, followed by dinner and dancing in our marquee.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive no later than 12:30pm in order to be seated for the ceremony start time of 1pm.

Where can I stay?

We have compiled a list of local cottages, hotels and BnBs - please see the 'Where to Stay' page for recommendations. You can also use Expedia or AirBnB for further recommendations. Please reach out to either Jamie or Lizzie should you need help.

Are children invited?

While we adore children, we've opted for an adults-only (18+) wedding day to allow everyone to relax and enjoy the celebrations. We hope you understand our decision and can arrange childcare for your day with us.

Can I bring a plus one?

Our celebration is strictly RSVP only and the names of invited guests are listed on your invitation. Please refrain from bringing anyone who is not included.

Can I take photos?

While we love that you want to capture our special moments, we kindly request an unplugged ceremony to allow everyone to be fully present. Our professional photographer will be capturing all the highlights, and we'll share the photos with you afterwards. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a distraction-free environment for our ceremony.

Will there be transport from the ceremony to the reception?

Yes, we are providing transport from Christ Church the Consoler to Newby Hall. Please indicate on your RSVP whether you'd like to be included.

What time will we eat?

Canapés will be served during our drinks reception, between 2pm and 3:30pm. Our main meal will be served around 4pm, and evening food will be served around 9:30pm.

Will you be providing alcohol?

Yes, we are providing all beer, wine and fizz during our drinks reception and meal. There will be a cash bar available for spirits during the duration of the meal and for the evening portion of the day.

What time will the day finish?

Carriages will be at midnight.

How will I get back to my hotel?

Please keep in mind that due to the village location, taxis may be difficult to book and may not arrive quickly on the night. It is also highly unlikely that Ubers will be available in the area. Please pre-book your taxis to take you back to your hotel no later than 12am.

How do I RSVP?

Please RSVP through our wedding website only so we can gather all required information. The RSVP button can be found on the homepage, above 'Our Wedding Day'. If you are having trouble, please contact either Jamie or Lizzie as soon as possible.

When do I need to RSVP by?

Please RSVP no later than 1st July.

Do you have a gift registry?

We are both thrilled to have you attending our wedding, and for us that is enough. If you would like to bring a card or gift, there will be an area within the marquee to keep these safe. There is also a 'Registry' tab on our website should you wish to contribute towards our honeymoon.
